Killing Floor is a self-titled blues rock album by the American band Killing Floor, released in 1969.
The album features a mix of blues, rock, and heavy psychedelic sounds, with a strong emphasis on guitar-driven tracks. Led by guitarist and lead vocalist Bill Thorndycraft, the band also includes bassist Stuart McDonald and drummer Bazz Smith.
The album's opening track, "Out of Uranus," is a hard-driving rocker with intricate guitar work and powerful vocals. Other standout tracks include "Soon There Will Be Everything," which showcases the band's bluesy side with its slow, soulful groove, and "Lost Alone," a trippy psychedelic track with atmospheric guitar effects and dreamy vocals.
Although Killing Floor garnered critical acclaim for their raw and powerful sound, the band never achieved widespread commercial success. Nevertheless, their self-titled debut album remains a landmark of the late 60s blues rock scene.
